The main variants are single-selection and multiple-selection questions, but there are a great many ways to customize the way the question looks and functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you create a new multiple choice question, there&#8217;s a single option available. To add more options, click the &#8220;+&#8221; next to &#8220;Options&#8221;. To change the option text, click next to the corresponding number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Allow only one answer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Multiple Choice question, that allows only one answer, is a question type where the client can only choose one answer from a list of options. This is the case when <em>allow multiple answers<\/em> is not checked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The basic multiple choice question is not a quantitative question. This can be done by first clicking on the pencil and then adding the required (likert) value. Setting either one of these values to zero disables that limit (so that there&#8217;s either no minimum or no maximum amount of options). The &#8220;Next question&#8221; button will be disabled until a correct amount of responses is selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-theme-default-color has-text-color\" id=\"the-other-option-and-self-learning-multiple-choice-questions\"><strong>The \u2018other\u2019 option and self-learning multiple choice questions<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In the second option it is possible to designate an \u2018other\u2019 option. By doing so, the client can click on this option and immediately specify this other option. <br>If you want participants to freely add another option, follow the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create an extra option (by clicking on the &#8216;+&#8217; icon next to <em>Options<\/em>) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <em>Select option<\/em> box (under <em>Designate other option<\/em>), type the number of your prefered &#8216;other&#8217; option.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><em>E.g. This means that the next time the client or participant fills in this question, the previous \u2018other\u2019 options will also be available options. You can do this by checking the box <em>Self learning multiple choice<\/em>. You can create conditional questions that are triggered after the client has indicated one or several specific answer options from the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This video demonstrates how a conditional question is triggered by the answer(s) indicated in a multiple choice question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video controls src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/ConditionalQ_MPC.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-danger\">Multiple answers can trigger a conditional question, but a conditional question can&#8217;t be triggered by a specific ensemble of words.<br><br><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><em>E.g. If a client indicates option 1 OR option 2 as an answer, a conditional question will be triggered.
